So, what does Return to Source mean?

Good question! I’m so glad you asked…

As well as being the name I’ve chosen to represent my Kinesiology business,
Return to Source is my take on the following philosophy:

Everything in this world and ALL living beings that inhabit it are interconnected.

Which means every molecule of the world is a part of the same Source Energy that brought the Universe into Being.

Pretty cool when you think about it, right?

water

For example: At any time, a droplet of water can be: a singular droplet, or part of a puddle, a river, an ocean, the air, the wind or the rain. But no matter what form it takes, it’s all water, right?

However, when a water droplet joins a river or ocean, it’s part of something much bigger than itself. Something much more powerful with incredible creative potential.

Same goes for people!

In my experience, I see that most of us can feel cut off from the Source of what it truly means to be a human being; leaving us feeling weak and dis-empowered.

Feelings of isolation, fear, separation, anxiety, loneliness and being alone with our fears, doubts and desires… are very common human experiences.

No matter what our outsides look like to our Self or others, everyone can experience these feelings from time to time.

I’ve been there, too.

For some people however, feeling like this can become a way of life.

But! That’s because we forget that we’re NOT just a single solitary water droplet.

Every single one of us? We’re an ocean!

Rather, we’re all part of the same ocean: something much bigger, more mysterious and powerful than we’re aware of in day-to-day life.

Through the practices of Yoga and Kinesiology, I’ve found that it’s possible to reconnect to Source Energy or Essential Spark – the same one we all share – and let go of old patterns and feelings that cause us to feel small and alone.

We can instead become connected to Source, allowing us to align with our true Self.

We Return to the Source of who we really are

Releasing our hidden/unfelt emotions is REALLY important.

Painful unresolved emotions can cause stress and take up LOTS of energy. Which affects our physical body – this is a known fact.

What isn’t as well-known, is that ongoing stress can then go on to cause physical dis-ease.

That’s where Kinesiology comes in to restore balance to your whole being! Hooray!

For me, yoga’s most important gift is…

Building self-awareness and connection to my breath and inner-self. Sure, it’s great to be able to do fancy yoga poses… but if that doesn’t translate to living a happier life, then it’s just gymnastics, not yoga.

As for Kinesiology…

I consider it the perfect partner for building self-awareness, releasing old “stuff” and healing emotional, energetic or spiritual wounds we’re holding onto (consciously or not!).

So this is my invitation to you:

  • Return to Source – whatever makes you feel the most like your Self
  • Return to your Essence Nature – re-connect with the part of you that is that awesome creative source of energy
  • To get there, do whatever it takes to shrug off feeling unwell, unhappy, and lacking in freedom.
  • Consider using Kinesiology explore what’s possible for your Self, your physical/mental/emotional health and your life.

  1. So good to see your new website, Amanda. Been wondering where you’ve been posting, I’ve missed reading your blogs, since i don’t have twitter or ability to do RSS feeds…I don’t think….I dont even know what that is! (techno-phobe here…lol!) How wonderful that you are moving forward full steam ahead with your new careers. Beautiful!

  2. Hi Amanda
I have been researching what it means to return to source and i came across your awesome article. I too love yoga but dont care for the competetiveness of postures. There is still a lot of ego in the yoga realm it seems.
So anyway, i thought that returning to source meant leaving entirely, like no more body, ego, mind. Not saying death per say, but more like a dissolving. Will we still be hanging out on earth as a human when we “return to source” ?
    Thanks!

Hi Wildcat, thanks for your comment. 🙂
We can all get competitive, even in yoga! But the best way to practice yoga is to find a way to enjoy and feel good about yourself doing the practice.
I completely believe we can be unified with source energy while we’re still here as humans on this planet. It takes a bit of work, but it’s completely possible. x

      1. Once this happens, does life continue as usual? As in. . Having families, working, eating, drinking, etc?
