Do you hear it?
Your inner voice plays it on repeat:
I’m not good enough…
I’m not good enough…
I’m not good enough…
This story? It’s so much B.S.
The “I’m not good enough” refrain is a deadly siren song that seems to be woven in to our subconscious mind.
It has many different flavors and sub-stories, but it all adds up to the bottom line of a deeply held sense of dread, fear, inadequacy and anxiety.
Get this straight, though…
It’s definitely not just you contending with this story
It’s almost every person you meet, whether they’ll admit it or not.
They may not even be aware of that small, insistent call sitting underneath their discontent with themselves.
It seems that the collective human “enoughness” is something we’re all here to learn in our own way.
Choose to see this inner dialogue as your teacher, not your torturer
Learn from it.
Say: “Thank you for pointing out the ways in which I don’t feel enough. Now let’s work together and find a way to allow exactly what I am to be perfectly enough.”
Thank you dear story.
You don’t have to sit in the stinky, messy, uncomfortable story forever.
You can use it as fuel to investigate and clear out what’s not true, instead of allowing your mind to tell tall tales that make you feel miserable.
It’s always your choice. Sit in the more. Or work it.
My clients ask me HOW they can do this
And I tell them that the answers are as always…
- More self-reflection
- Gaining inner knowledge and wisdom
- Learning more about who you really are
- Learning more about the programs, beliefs and patterns you carry so you can begin to challenge and unwind them
Then they ask, how do I do those things?
You can use Kinesiology to build awareness and raise your consciousness – it’s certainly a very powerful and personal pathway.
You might also like to learn yoga or meditation.
Or engage in any inner learning practices that call to you – art therapy, writing, life drawing, hiking.
Anything that engages your creative brain vs your logic brain.
So much of our world is about distracting ourselves from who we really are. So use whatever techniques or modalities you feel can help you to get out of that mindset, to take a deeper look at your inner world.
Get to know and befriend yourself
As you gain a clearer picture of who you are, contentment and Self-acceptance will arise over time.
Then your inner dialogue changes… I really DIG this person that I am.
I am enough…
I am enough…
I am enough…
