My whole life, I’ve been fascinated by transformation
The ability for one thing to become something else.
It’s part of the reason that magic has always been important to me. And I suspect it has a lot to do with my love of the vampire genre.
The journey of meeting our wounds with compassion and walking the healing pathway is transformation, too.
The work of healing trauma, especially
I often say to clients that trauma is like when you break a glass and pieces shatter and spread to all corners of your home.
Even when you think you’ve swept and vacuumed them up, you still find pieces in the most unlikely places.
Traumatic events cause a splintering of our consciousness
Pieces of our Self can get locked into those experiences and sometimes we don’t know where those splinters are hiding.
Often, we don’t notice they’re there for the longest time. Not until we stand on them, like a splinter. Ouch!
It’s at those times when things hurt that we have a choice: bandage up the wound, or choose to meet it and do the work.
This is what I do for myself and also in sessions with my clients
We don’t always need to talk through things, which can sometimes feel difficult or impossible with trauma.
BUT we do need to find a way to feel through it. To meet the energetic experience and feel the trapped and hidden emotions that have been held hostage by trauma.
So in sessions, whether we’re talking, doing acupressure, using vibrational remedies, sound therapy or any other tool… this is the goal.
Meet your feelings. Allow them to surface and disperse. So that you don’t have to hold them in any longer.
To match my interest in transformation, my life has been exactly that
Wave after wave of transformation, which often includes a cycle of everything breaking down.
Sometimes things have to fall apart so they can come back together in a whole other form.
If this is your journey in this life, too, I stand with you.
My soul tribe is made up of people just like this: those who are willing to take the fall, knowing they will inevitably rise again.
