First up, let’s talk myths about those who work as healers…
- Just because we work as healers doesn’t make us perfect
- And yet, most of us ARE working on our stuff
- We had to, in order to find our way to doing what we’re doing
- But still, we’re no more perfect than anyone else
All of us are perfectly imperfect, right?
I’m yet to meet anyone in this life who’s got it all sorted, no problems or dramas.
It’s when we judge ourselves or others around perceived imperfections that the real problem arises.
When we’re focused on being judgey about others, then we’re most definitely ignoring our own stuff.
Because usually, whatever it is that we’re triggered by about other people? Is more than likely something we try to avoid seeing about ourselves.
It’s why I have a No Pedestals Policy. Because honey, I’m not perfect.
But do I regularly tend to my own inner work? You bet your ass I do!
I see my own Kinesiologist, but I also make sure I do a Kinesiology session for myself every single week.
For me, it’s important to do my own work, so that I’m always increasing my ability to support my clients and seeing my own stuff more and more clearly.
So, I thought I’d share some insights from a self-healing session I did the other week, because it was so powerful and I’m 100% certain the awareness I gained isn’t just for me.
Sometimes I know what I’m going to work on in my sessions, and other times I don’t. When that happens, I call on my guides and unseen helpers to show me the way.
And the other week, they guided me to work with the following goal…
I Walk The Path of Unconditional Truth
This affirmation comes from the Obsidian card in The Liquid Crystal Oracle.
(Before I even began, I was getting goosebumps!)
Now I should say that as a Sagittarian I’m all about truth. My life purpose card in The Liquid Crystal system is Sapphire, which is about Spiritual Truth.
So y’know, I like truth. I’m always eager to uncover new ways of growing and learning.
The Obsidian card message was: There’s something you’re unable to see, that’s interfering in your life’s progress.
So I was all… BRING IT!
And via muscle testing, I worked out that what I needed to look at were: My Triggers!
Triggers = Stories and perceptions that set off an intense emotional response
As I delved inwards, what became clear was the following:
When I feel taken advantage of or disrespected, I get triggered.
It’s sucky. I don’t like how I act or speak when I feel triggered in those ways.
The related emotional state can be ugly. It doesn’t feel like me (although of course it is).
And those experiences can send me into a bit of a tailspin. What just happened?
As if I took an unexpected rollercoaster ride and then couldn’t get off til the ride was over.
Do you know that feeling?
Gahhhh!! You might even feel as if there’s nothing you can to do change those patterns.
Luckily, in Kinesiology we have protocols for working with and clearing reactivity.
Which can include: reactive emotions, muscles, meridians, auric fields, or chakras to name a few.
It’s possible to have reactivity triggers around all sorts of experiences, from different times in your life – present time, times in the past, or past lives.
The truth about triggers… they’re kind of sneaky
Triggers are our “shadow” stuff. They’re often what we choose to resist and ignore in our Selves. Behaviours or traits we think of as unattractive or not wanted.
So then, when we see those things in others we get annoyed! And sometimes, REALLY annoyed!
The upside? When you do get triggered, you can train yourself to remember it’s just you being annoyed at yourself, and now’s the time to take a closer look at what’s going on for you!
So I’ve begun the work to clear mine out
Or as I like to explain to clients – take the energetic charge out of those experiences.
Because we can’t control the actions of others, but we can resolve our own shizz.
Emotion is simply energy demanding motion
As with all Kinesiology work, we look for the emotions that are associated with your triggers.
Because often they’ve become “stuck” in your energy body, and we want to move and clear the energy that wants to be back in motion!
The releasing and clearing of triggers isn’t a one-shot deal. As with anything, there are usually many layers.
But the key is having awareness of what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.
So when our triggers and reactivity pop up again, instead of feeling embarrassed by it we can say “oh hello there!”
Because its when our stuff surfaces that we’ve got an opportunity to look into it.
This allows us to learn to unwind our patterns AND forgive ourselves for being reactive!
Because we’re all perfectly imperfect, right?
Much love,
