Dear ones,
This message simply poured out of me one day, during a meditation where I was connecting with the Muse. I asked Her what I needed to share, and this is what showed up!
It’s an important message for everyone who is ready to hear it.
Who is it for?
It’s for you if you’re:
- On the verge of change or transformation, or taking a step in a new direction
- Waiting to have All. The. Confidence… before you do whatever it is you’re wanting to do
- Holding yourself back in some way
- Choosing fear and timidity over putting yourself out there
Is that you? If so, then here’s your message…
Do. Not. Wait.
Don’t wait to have all your skills *perfected* before you dive in!
Years ago, as a beginner yoga teacher I learned that the only way to learn what to do, is to do it. You can NOT learn how to lead a class by studying or listening to the wisdom of others.
You have to do it. Jump in. Take the steps to make it happen.
Sitting on the sidelines will never build your skills, confidence or experience.
And now as a Kinesiologist, it breaks my heart watching talented practitioners who hold themselves back because they’re waiting for something.
Perhaps to be “better”. Or to have practiced more. Or for external validation from someone.
This is not how we build confidence, right?
Do. Not. Wait.
You’ve got to get in the game.
Because we need you.
And it’s okay for you to learn as you go, because it’s absolutely guaranteed you can still help people while you’re learning.
Do you remember learning stuff as a kid?
Like getting off the training wheels or how to do a handstand or cartwheel? Or even learning how to knit, or tie your shoelaces?
Once you were doing okay, there’s a good chance you probably helped out your mates, right?
At that point in time, were you perfect at your newly mastered skill? No.
Did it matter? NO!
As kids, it’s really natural for us to pass on what we’ve learned.
Kids are also generally pretty good at asking for help, or to be shown what to do.
So learn from your younger self!
Do not wait for a sign or a certain level of proficiency.
Dive in. Practice. Explore. Be passionate and curious. Make mistakes.
But most of all, act on what you know.
And then you can learn what you don’t know along the way, while you’re taking action!
It really is okay to do it that way.
If you’re a leader. A teacher. A way-shower, then this may be the ONLY way.
Sometimes we have to learn how to get ourselves moving, because that’s part of what we have to pass on to others!
And what’s more?
Taking action even as you’re learning means you’ll be able to support others in the process.
Win-win-win.
So keep going!
Much love,
P.S. If you need a hand to get yourself back in action? Try some Kinesiology. It’s awesome for getting you realigned with yourself.
